When you clear Customs in KPBI you will usually have to oen all the doors, take out all the luggage and go inside to get them.  They may or may not go through the luggage and/or the plane.  I have never had a big problem with them.  Normal Customs.

Poker / Dog Racing

There is a Poker Room / Dog Racing Track across from the airport.  Very nice poker room.  Just about all games and limits are available.  Single and Multi table Tournaments are there as well. Sun-thur -  noon to midnight and Fri and Sat are noon til 1am. 

If you are staying at the Crowne Plaza or the Marriot near downtown I know they both will shuttle there.

City Place

Great spot.  Outdoor Plaza with many restaurants, stores and movie theater.  Most hotels nearby will shuttle there.  You can walk to the water from here.
