Airport Pirep

Like any Big Airport in the country the harder part of it seems to be taxiing around.  One thing that nearly threw me was LA has Taxi Routes. Never seen these before.  Check in the approach plates before landing just in case they give you one.  It is much like a SID or STAR but for taxi.  It wil be something like, "Taxi via taxi route Charlie."  You would then follow the planned taxi route from the approach plates.  Not bad when you've looked at them ahead of time. Not so good when you are frantically looking for them after receiving the taxi route.  :)

Also be ready to write down the taxi clearance since LAX is HUGE!

There is a poker hall down the street. from the Airport
