There is a lake near the airport called Bachman Lake (Probably Bachman Lake Park).  Its a very nice park with a paved running/walking trail around it.  Ducks / Turtles etc.  Its longer than it looks so be watchful. 

If you are at the Embassy Suites you can go out the back and follow the water to the park. (easy walk)
